Zynga Loses Another Notable Employee

Zynga has been losing notable employees left and right. The General Manager of CityVille and the Chief Creative Officer are the two most recent that have turned heads. Well, it looks like Wilson Kriegel, the former OMGPOP Chief Revenue Officer, is exiting Zynga according to VentureBeat.

As you can tell from this chart, Zynga’s stock price has been in the shitter since April, and it seems to keep getting worse. It’s no wonder that with a tanking stock, legal issues, and a reputation for being one of the most obnoxious companies in the world, they seem to be bleeding staff members.

Sooner or later, these issues will come to a head. Either Zynga drastically changes or they push their problems to someone else by selling the company and IP. When the DNA of your company is so vile, it isn’t very surprising that not only are users non-loyal, but employees will jump ship as soon as they can. Scummy business models and anti-consumer mindsets aren’t the way to build a sustainable business, and hopefully professors will be using Zynga as an example of how not to run a corporation. At least, we can certainly hope so because we don’t want to live in a world where Zynga is known as the comeback kid.
