Updated Pixelmator 2.1 Adds iCloud, Mountain Lion Support, And Is Retina-Ready

Pixelmator is an easy-to-use image editor that helps create new images and edit existing photos. Today, Pixelmator gets even better with a fresh new update, bringing it to version 2.1.

The updated version of Pixelmator is now in the Mac App Store, as of this morning, and can be purchased for $14.99. With the new update, Pixelmator is now Retina-ready, following in the footsteps of many other apps that are taking advantage of the high-resolution screen on the new MacBook Pro with Retina display. In addition, Pixelmator now offers iCloud integration, which lets users keep updated versions of their work on multiple Macs, and it also offers support for Apple’s new Mountain Lion operating system.

Other updates in Pixelmator are aimed more at the app’s image editing capabilities. It now offers an Effects Browser to instantly preview and quickly apply special effects or adjust color in pictures. There are also alignment guides that help to quickly position, align, and evenly distribute objects in Pixelmator compositions with excellent accuracy. Version 2.1 also comes with some new effect features, including using the new Vintage, Miniaturize, Black and White, Rain, and Snow effects.

So if you’re really into editing photos, Pixelmator is definitely an app for that, especially with the great new updates in version 2.1. Follow the link below to purchase Pixelmator.
