MacRabbit Releases Layer Cake: “Bye bye, Save for Web!”

MacRabbit, the fine, fine group behind Espresso, has just released a brand new application for designers who primarily create stuff for apps and the web. If you’re tired of fiddling with the “Save For Web” settings in Photoshop, Layer Cake is exactly what you’re looking for in your workflow.

The application will take your Layer Groups in Photoshop and then export the groups as whatever file type you’re looking for, like a PNG or JPG. All you have to do is name your layer group as the files you want (ie. Love.png), and then you drag and drop your PSD onto Layer Cake. The application will then save your layer group as a file called Love.png

The app is current on sale in the Mac App Store for 30 percent off. The discount is only for a limited time, so if you’re interested, you may want to pick it up as soon as possible.
