Zephyr jailbreak tweak hits 1.1, brings more gestures to iPhone

The amazing Zephyr, a jailbreak tweak from Grant Paul (chpwn), has hit version 1.1. Essentially the application replaces your home button with a series of gestures to switch apps (left-to-right), show the multitasking bar (swiping up) , or close an application.

While the application could easily be used to get around a broken home button, the functionality is slick enough that you may find yourself avoiding a functioning home button altogether.

Version 1.1 brings the following to the table:

  • Swipe up to close apps
  • Pause while swiping up to show the multitasking switcher
  • Swipe to your ned app immediately with a side swipe
  • Bug fixes, and performance improvements
  • No more conflicts with Multicleaner

The tweak isn’t free. It will cost you $3.00 on the Cydia store, which means you have to be running a jailbroken iPhone or iPod touch.
