Turn Your Old iOS Devices Into AirPlay Receivers With This Cydia Tweak

Trying to get your iPad to act as an AirPlay receiver while attached to a dock across the room, but find yourself flummoxed that Apple hasn’t made it possible in iOS natively? Have no fear, AirFloat is here.

If you have a jailbroken phone, you’re going to want to check out AirFloat on the Cydia store. It’s free, and it lets you send media to another iOS device on your network. It’s a great way to put that old iPod touch or iPhone to use and to avoid paying for an AirPort Express or Apple TV.

Your mobile iOS device will appear in all of the normal AirPlay dialog boxes, and all you have to do is select the phone or tablet you’re hoping to send audio to when you’re ready.

Search Cydia, download AirFloat, thank me later.
