Shazam updates their iPhone App

If you’ve used Shazam, you know that launching the application, hitting the tag button, and waiting for it to listen to your track takes a while. Sometimes you even miss the song your trying to tag because by the time you figure out that you want to know which artist is playing through your speakers the songs almost over, and Shazam has just finished loading. It’s pretty annoying, but the Shazam crew has taken a drastic step in eliminating the problem in their latest update — tagging immediately once the application opens.

Some other cool updates include the ability to share your findings on Twitter and on Facebook, and hopefully in the future they’ll somehow be able to add the functionality to Ping. We’re not holding our breath on the last one, but we can dare to dream.  If you want to get in on the new features make sure you update the application on your phone.

Also, if you’re hoping to turn on the auto tagging feature just click on the Settings icon in the bottom right corner of the application, and then from there click on tag settings, and swipe the toggle switch for Enable Tagging on startup. You’ll never miss another Madonna song again.
