With the Spider-Man franchise set to get a much needed Emma Stone edition refresh, it probably shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that the studios are also looking to release a video game alongside the film’s release on July 3, 2012. Gameloft has just announced in a press release that it will be releasing a mobile adventure game featuring the one and only Amazing Spider-Man:
Gameloft and Marvel are teaming up once again to develop and launch the official game for one of the most anticipated movies of the year, Sony Pictures’ The Amazing Spider-Man. Staying true to the original storyline, Gameloft is working hand in hand with both Marvel and the movie teams to develop an immersive universe that stays true to the upcoming film.
There aren’t very many details floating around yet outside of the game being available in 3D (Android only), and that it will be available on the iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. When we hear more, we’ll be sure to let you know.
