Angry Birds HD cuts price to $1.99

When you’re flying high, is there really any need for a price cut? With sales going so strong, cutting potential income doesn’t really make much business sense. That is unless you’re Rovio, creator of one of the most popular iOS games of all time, Angry Birds.

If you’ve not discovered the catapult-flinging-avian game yet (are you living under a rock?), you can now pick up the HD version for iPad for under two dollars. Originally priced at $4.99 (£2.99), it’s been slashed to a more respectable $1.99 (£1.46). Rovio Mobile’s obviously hoping the drop in price will spur on gamers to help them reach their aim of a billion fans.

Feel free to join in the fun with the other 250 million Angry Birders — this is the perfect opportunity to take the plunge. After all, we don’t know how long the series is going to be around while these patent violations cases are taking place. Go buy Angry Birds HD now.
