Relive Your Childhood And Play ‘The Oregon Trail’ In Your Browser

If you grew up in the 80s and 90s in the US, there’s a pretty good shot that you played The Oregon Trail at some point. It was a staple on the Apple IIs and Mac LCs at my grade school. You can already play an adaptation of the game on your iPhone, but now, you can experience the 1990 DOS release in your Web browser, free of charge.

Yes, it’s the DOS version, and yes, we’re a site called Macgasm, but I don’t think anyone here is going to complain. ;)

If you want to give it a try, stop reading and head over to Archive.org. While you’re there, have at some of the other browser-playable games there, like Sim Ant, Wolfenstein 3D, and Street Fighter II.
