Netflix Starts Rolling Out Personalized User Profiles On Apple TV

Netflix has started to roll out personalized user profiles to Apple TV users. Though the functionality isn’t available to all Apple TV users just yet, it is progressively rolling out. This feature allows households to setup different accounts for different family members within a single Netflix billing account. These accounts can be set up on the Netflix web interface and then pushed to the Apple TV over the web. Users will be able to switch between these accounts when booting up the Netflix app on the Apple TV.

As of now, this feature isn’t available to the general public. Users who’ve already received the functionality will be able to use the accounts set up on their Netflix DVD account, but profiles cannot be altered and additional profiles cannot be added. However, it is a nice pre-release perk for DVD users. As of now, we’re expecting personalized user profiles to be released to the public in August.

Netflix is a popular video streaming service that has apps on iOS, Apple TV, Android, Roku, and other platforms. The company has partnerships with tons of content companies like FOX to offer TV shows and movies for instant streaming. A Netflix streaming plan will run you $7 per month.
