Finally, the North Carolina data center is for iTunes and MobileMe

After what feels like years of speculation, it appears that we finally have an answer to what Apple is doing in North Carolina. According to AppleInsider, who was in attendance for Apple’s annual shareholders meeting, the data center is for iTunes, MobileMe, and Apple’s Corporate systems. It’s all set to debut this spring. Are we finally going to find out why they bought Lala? Bigger, badder MobileMe that’s possibly free? Hopefully we only have to wait until March 2nd to get some real answers as I’m about rumored out for this week.

What do you think is waiting for us? Let us know in the comments.
