Macconnection has killer prices on the new MacBook Pro’s

With the new MacBook Pros released last week, I decided that it was time to upgrade my four year old MacBook. Now granted it still runs like a charm, but I felt I needed something that was a little faster and more up-to-date. Plus, the new MacBook Pros have the Thunderbolt technology that looks really great. My next step in my quest to upgrade my laptop was deciding which MacBook Pro I wanted, and how much I wanted to spend on it. I decided to go with the MacBook Pro 15-inchQuad Core i7. The final step now was deciding where I should by it from, and where I can get the best deal.

I looked first at Apple.com, and there pricing is pretty straight forward. They do, however, offer great discounts if you’re a student, work for an educational institution, or if you work for the government. Since I didn’t qualify for any of those discounts, I started to look elsewhere. Next stop was Amazon.com. This is actually where I purchased my two iMacs from a couple of years ago.  They offer great pricing, no tax, and free shipping. After seeing the pricing, they were only about $5.00 less than Apple was. However, there is no tax, so there is more of a savings to be had.

Still, I was not satisfied with the price point, so I ventured forth and found Macconnection.com to have an excellent price on the new 15-inch MacBook Pro. It was $100.00 less than what Apple is selling theirs for.  After looking over the site, I noticed that the $100.00 price difference was without a mail-in-rebate. This is a huge bonus that I got the savings instantly, instead of having to mail in for it and wait for my $100.00. So, I jumped on this great offer, and now I’m waiting for my new MacBook Pro to arrive.

After ordering my MacBook Pro, I found a post on 9to5Mac.com outlining the savings on all of the new MacBook Pros that can be found at Macconnection.com. So here are the different models along with their prices, and according to Macconnection.com, you can save up to $150.00 off the retail price. Oh, did I mention that Macconnection.com also offers no tax and free shipping.  So this is a huge savings. Well, with no further ado, here are the models and prices:

I'm a husband, dad of two great kids, and I have a passion for Apple products. I got my first Mac in 2005, and I haven't looked back. I like the simplicity of the Mac, and how does the motto go, oh yeah, It just works. I think that's the great thing about Macs how the hardware and software work harmoniously together. I've also been in the IT industry for over fourteen years. I've worked with everything from Windows computers to Mac computers. I can say I thoroughly enjoy working with Macs.
