Odd Apple Stuff: Retro Wear

I was stumbling around the interwebs the other day and came across this little retro gem over at Poorly Dressed. It got me thinking about all the retro wear that was fairly easy to still get a hold of back in 2000. I used to shop sites like redlightrunner.com, which is a ghost of its former glorious self. You used to be able to pick up rainbow logo shirts for $15/$20, which made a great gift for a certain geeky boss of mine. Not all of this retro wear is standing the test of time though. I can’t imagine wearing any of the above items. I’ve collected some of the more authentic looking pieces out there. If you are in the market for original Apple logo gear just be careful to not get fooled into paying a high price for something that is knock off.

In the market for a lightweight jacket? Think you can pull off that late eighties, early nineties look? Then this lovely jacket could be yours.

It appears that someone over at Apple had a thing for lightweight jackets. I found this dark blue one with a similar late eighties flare.

One last jacket, this one with a little Québécois flare.

Need a jaunty hat? This orange hat with the old style Apple type face and thick cord screams old school.

This one seems a bit un-Apple like if you ask me but the type face is right in this fancy Power Macintosh t-shirt.

I save this one for last as I love this shirt. I actually almost bought one years ago but was put off by the fact that it was on a yellow shirt. The baby blue version is rad, for lack of a better fitting word.

What do you think? Would you rock any of these items? Or do you? Let me know in the comments. I hope you like my finds. If you come across any awesome Apple items or even those that makes you say WTF, shoot me an email at marilyn@macgasm.net and I’ll feature it!
